Our Booking Process Explained
Recently, we noticed an article published in the Liverpool Echo that told the story of an unreliable private hire taxi driver who had continued to let down his customers. The article covered the fall out of several years’ worth of complaints (the driver had been accepting payment upfront while failing to actually turn up to complete the promised service) – from the appeals process that allowed the driver to continue to operate to the eventual revocation of his private hire driver’s licence and his operator’s licence. He had left passengers waiting at home for a lift to the airport that would never arrive, jeopardising their ability to make their flight on time. The same was true of the return journey too – passengers were left stranded at the airport without the means to get home.
It acts as a cautionary tale for those preparing to book airport transfers for the upcoming summer holidays. In many ways, our own airport transfers service is completely unlike those of the shoddy practices reflected in the article. At Cyllenius Travel Services, our commitment to providing a stellar service for customers from start to finish is unparalleled. To demonstrate just that, we have outlined every step in the Cyllenius Travel Services’ customer journey – from initial contact to arriving at your final destination.
Getting in touch
On our website, you will see our contact details prominently featured: our phone number, email address and online booking form are all there. You can even reach out to us on social media and we will point you in the right direction. Primarily, we handle bookings by phone but we are happy to facilitate whatever your preferred method of booking may be. Once the process is complete, you will receive immediate confirmation of your booking.
Outgoing journey
On the day of your airport transfer, our driver will arrive at the agreed time and pick-up point punctually before transporting you to your intended destination. In spite of a return journey being agreed upon beforehand, we charge for one way only in good faith – giving our customers the utmost confidence in the legitimacy of our service. We only ever ask for upfront payment where we feel it is absolutely necessary. Those travelling long distances to and from a festival or a stag or hen do (where large quantities of alcohol may be consumed) for example, can expect to be charged in advance.
Return journey
Before arrival into Liverpool or Manchester airport, our driver will send you a preliminary text message introducing him/herself. From there, they will liaise with the customer directly to arrange a pick up point that suits both parties. Once this has been successfully arranged, the driver will transport the customer home.
You can rely on our 24/7 support
We are proud to provide 24/7 customer support. Whenever you need us, we’ll be on hand to help. You can rest assured that you won’t be subject to the frustration of communicating with a chatbot or anything of that ilk either – our phone lines, as well as our Facebook messenger account, are operated by knowledgeable, dedicated and hard-working members of staff, who are all more than happy to resolve any issues you may have.
We’d like to think our service is pretty much flawless but after all we’re human – mistakes do occasionally happen. Often the seventeen years we have been operating, we have only had to provide reimbursements a mere three times, which we think speaks to our reliability and professionalism. We hope you come away from this post with a better understanding of the way we operate at Cyllenius. Whether you are looking for cheap airport transfers from Liverpool to Manchester airport or professional chauffeur services in Liverpool or Manchester, we hope that you will book with us soon!
